Introduction

Welcome to Towmi! These Terms of Use "Terms" govern your participation as a driver on the Towmi platform. By using the Towmi Driver App ("App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the platform.

1. Services Provided

Towmi connects drivers with customers to provide the following services:

  • Vehicle Haulage (nationwide Nigeria)
  • Car Towing (Lagos State)
  • Ambulance Services (Lagos State)

2. Driver Responsibilities

  • Maintain valid and up-to-date documents (license, insurance, certifications).
  • Arrive promptly at pickup locations at the scheduled time.
  • Use Pickup OTP and Delivery OTP to verify job start and completion.
  • Maintain professionalism and courteous customer interactions.
  • Accurately record trip details and confirm payments according to Towmi policies.
  • Report any technical or payment issues to Towmi Support promptly.

3. Booking & Payment Process

Towmi operates a secured multi-step payment flow:

  • Booking Confirmation: Once customer books and deposit is paid, driver is notified of the upcoming job.
  • Driver Arrival: Driver must arrive at pickup point on time and verify Pickup OTP before service starts.
  • Service Completion: Upon service completion, customer pays final balance directly.
  • Delivery OTP: Driver verifies Delivery OTP after final payment to complete the booking officially.
  • Payout: Towmi processes full payments (deposit + final balance) and disburses funds to driver within 2 business days.

4. Pricing & Negotiation

  • Initial pricing is automatically calculated by Towmi based on location, distance, and service type.
  • Drivers may negotiate the price with the customer before accepting the booking offer.
  • Agreed pricing becomes binding once both parties confirm the booking.

5. Vouchers, Bonuses & Promotions

  • Towmi may occasionally offer vouchers, bonuses, or promotional incentives based on driver activity or special campaigns.
  • Details of each promotion will be communicated via the Driver App or official Towmi channels.
  • Vouchers are subject to Towmi terms and may expire if unused.

6. Platform Rules & Violations

  • Drivers must not engage in fraudulent, unsafe, or unethical behavior while using the platform.
  • Failure to meet pickup times repeatedly may result in suspension.
  • Disputes or complaints raised by customers may be investigated by Towmi Support.
  • Multiple violations may lead to permanent deactivation of driver account.

7. Suspension & Termination

Towmi may suspend or terminate any driver account for:

  • Repeated customer complaints or low driver ratings
  • Failure to follow Towmi payment and OTP verification processes
  • Inaccurate trip reporting or fraudulent activities
  • Safety or security violations

8. Dispute Resolution

If disputes arise between drivers and customers, parties should attempt to resolve them directly first. If resolution cannot be reached, Towmi Support will review and provide final determination.

9. Limitation of Liability

Towmi is not responsible for:

  • Vehicle damages, loss, or accidents.
  • Customer non-payments beyond the platform-protected flow.
  • Delays, cancellations, or disruptions outside Towmi’s control.
